Travel

Where are you based?

I am a mobile makeup artist based in Dartford, Kent. DA1 area.

Do you come to me or can I travel to you?

I am fully mobile and only travel to clients. The location can be your home address, hotel, friends address etc. 

Where will you travel too?

For full face glam (night makeup or occasion makeup) I am only available within Kent. I will travel to bookings between a minimum of 1-3 people if within a 25-30 radius of Dartford. For bookings of x4 makeups or more I may travel further - please enquire via Instagram or Facebook to find out more. 

How do you calculate travel charges?

Travel charges are based upon 45p per mile there and back (rounded up) if the location is over 20 miles away. Any toll charges, parking charges or additional charges will be added on top. Please ensure you are aware of my travel charges and how they may apply to your booking before enquiring.

How long do you take per person?

Full glam makeup takes around 1 hour per person. Please allow enough time from your booking before you need to leave. I take around 15 minutes to set up prior to the makeup application and also 15 minutes packing away. Please always add on an additional 30 minutes to my booking time given to ensure you have enough time spare before you need to be ready for your event.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes. All bookings require a deposit. Without a deposit your booking will not be secured and will also not be written into my diary. I require a £20 deposit per person plus any travel on top. This deposit is non-refundable should you cancel your booking. The deposit is no longer transferable to a new date. Deposits are expected to be paid within 24 hours of Gemma supplying the transfer details to you. Slots will only be held for 24 hours.

What happens if I cancel my booking?

What information do you need for enquiries?

Please supply the following information when enquiring:

-Date required

-Time required

-How many people are you booking for?

-Location e.g.: Strood, Dartford, Hoo, Sevenoaks etc - or a postcode

COVID19

What happens if COVID19 means I need to cancel my booking?

If by law your event cannot go ahead, meaning government restrictions prevent your booking from going ahead you will be given two options. You will first be offered to move your booking to a new date or hold the deposit for a future booking once a new date can be confirmed. Your second option will be a refund. 

What happens if I cancel my booking once restrictions are lifted?

As restrictions have been lifted, by law your event can go ahead. You will not be refunded your deposit if there are no restrictions or lockdown/ tiers in place and you cancel your booking. GemMakeup's usual T+Cs will be back in place. Please click here to view.

I think I have been around someone with COVID? Should I cancel?

YES! Please request a test immediately and provide evidence of a negative result if you are still wanting your makeup done otherwise I will not allow you to rebook for at least the next two weeks minimum. Your deposit will be lost and a new deposit would be required to re secure a new date if you fail to provide a negative test result. If you provide a negative test result and you haven't been required by law to isolate your booking can go ahead as planned.

I am having to isolate and cannot have my makeup done. Do I get a refund?

Unfortunately your deposit will not be refundable or transferable. I will not allow you to rebook for a minimum of two weeks to ensure the isolation period has been fully carried out. Your deposit will be lost and a new deposit would be required to re secure a new date.

What is your refund policy?

Refunds will only be given if by law an event cannot take place or if by law the makeup industry is not allowed to work. Lockdowns or Tier levels that prevent both events and makeup taking place will mean you are entitled to a refund. In the unfortunate case you contract COVID or test positive and are required to isolate you will not be given the option of a refund or transfer the deposit. If your isolation is shorter than two weeks Gemma will still not allow you to re book until the two weeks has passed. This is for her own safety and the safety of Gemma's clientele.
